Assassin’s Creed Developers „Looking Into“ A Way To Bring Back Multiplayer

Ubisoft explained at the most recent Ubisoft Forward how a team of developers at the firm have been „considering“ a method to revive multiplayer to the Assassin’s Creed franchise business. This will evidently be taking the form of a central center for all points related to Assassin’s Creed. The program concerned is currently being called Task Infinity.

“ Infinity is not a game per se. It’s going to be the solitary access point for our fans into the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the future,“ Exec Producer at Ubisoft Marc-Alexis Côté mentioned. „Infinity is mosting likely to be a hub that will unify all our various experiences and our gamers with each other in significant ways.“

Côté described that Project Infinity will certainly sustain all type of experiences consisting of a few that have been left by the wayside for many years, multiplayer particularly. The group presently dealing with Task Infinity has apparently been trying to identify a means to carry out the type of multiplayer that was last seen with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, a video game which Ubisoft released on October 29, 2013. While this type of experience can be offered with the upcoming hub at some time in the future, Côté held back from giving a company launch date, claiming only that followers of the franchise need to remain tuned for additional information.

Côté entered into a little bit a lot more detail concerning Task Infinity after Ubisoft Ahead. „The version of Infinity that we introduce will not be the final version of Infinity. It’s something that will advance through time as our experiences expand and we can connect them more together,“ the programmer discussed during an interview with IGN. „So, I think it opens up a globe of opportunities regarding what we can do that go much beyond being simply a launcher for our various video games.“

The total goal of Project Infinity appears to be something along the lines of an interactive launcher for the different entrances in the Assassin’s Creed series. „It is still the same video games that we’re developing, yet connected with each other in the Infinity center,“ Côté pointed out.

While the specifics stay uncertain, details have arised that a standalone Assassin’s Creed game concentrated on multiplayer called Invictus is currently in the works from a team of developers who formerly worked on Rainbow 6 Siege as well as For Honor. „It belongs to our imaginative purpose to link the different Assassin’s Creed video games together in a multiplayer experience,“ Côté mentioned to Eurogamer. What the video game will in fact involve remains to be seen.
